Patch Notes
All of Olden Era's changes, patch by patch, verified against the game files
Patch #12 — Bug fixes & adjustments
Up to date· v0.80.34
Small follow-up patch after the big #11: a targeted set of crash fixes (Jebus Tournament, Mirage, Arena mode) and a few balance adjustments. Since magic heroes were weakened too much in the previous patch, magic is rebalanced upward: Sorcery buffed and magic-damage specialists revised. Compared against the game files: the patch is faithful to its notes, with no hidden changes.
Patch #11 — Necromancy Rework & Rebalancing
· v0.80.31
The biggest patch in a long while. Necromancy is completely reworked (raising units of a tier higher than your own army composition, energy multiplied by 3, richer interface), Abyssal Communion (Schism) is nerfed but extended to all units, Summon Swarm (Hive) is refocused on larva explosions, Grove is broadly strengthened, Battle Magic and Summon Avatar are rebalanced, 4 new tournament templates arrive, and a long list of creatures/buildings/laws change across the 6 factions. Compared against the game files: several value errors and many unannounced changes were found (see the dedicated section at the bottom of the page).
Patch #10 — Tactical phase formations & fixes
· v0.80.24
A patch focused mostly on quality of life and stability: formations chosen during the tactical phase are now remembered from one battle to the next (against the AI), along with a long series of bug fixes. Just one balance tweak, on the Avatar, presented as a temporary fix ahead of a major balance patch to come.
Patch #9 — Hotfix & Balance Adjustments
· v0.80.19
Hotfix released the day after the major Patch 8. Schism is nerfed (too dominant in Single Hero), Hive receives early buffs originally planned for later, Summon Avatar is retuned, and Dungeon is buffed in Arena.
Patch #8 — Skill overhaul, balancing & fixes
· v0.80.18
Major balance patch: in-depth skill overhaul, rework of Summon Avatar into a purely magical ability, recalculation of passives such as Parry, buffs to underperforming upgraded versions, overhaul of the map generator and matchmaking, along with numerous exploit fixes accompanied by sanctions.
Official changes are taken from the developers' notes. Values are cross-checked against the game files: in case of a discrepancy, the real in-game value is shown. The "Found in the data" section lists changes already active in game but not detailed in the official notes.
